There was considerable interest in the Saab stand at the Brussels Motorshow earlier this month, as we unveiled the new 1.9 TiD engine option for the Saab 9-3 Convertible. This powerful turbo diesel engine should prove to be a popular choice, since it combines a typically feisty Saab performance with excellent fuel economy.
The hi-tech Common Rail Multiple Injection engine features variable turbo charging with fuel optimising pilot jets, which means you can enjoy outstanding engine responsiveness at both high and low revs. The 150 bhp engine produces an impressive 320 Nm of torque that, together with the agile handling characteristics of the chassis and suspension, promises an involved, active drive. |

Looking back at the 1970s, we may have had some pretty weird hairstyles, and the less said about the clothes the better! But one thing’s for sure — when it came to building cars, Saab was entering a golden age, producing a series of cars that are now considered to be modern classics. |
